Since 1987 Kingston Literacy has been involved in providing family literacy programming. Family literacy focuses on teaching parents to interact with their children in various ways that support the development of early literacy in young children, thus contributing to their success in school and life in general.
Although the connection between early literacy in the home and later life success has been well documented, our family literacy services remain project-funded from year to year. We continue to rely on fundraising activities, grants and donations to meet our needs.

Kingston and area, especially in underserviced areas with high-needs
populations.
