Jacquie Costron Honorary Chair
Welcome to the hive, Jacquie!
We warmly welcome Jacquie to the hive as Honorary Chair. Fred Laflamme generously contributed his time and talent for the past two years as the Honorary Chair (many thanks, Fred!) and now Jacquie has graciously agreed to take on the role.
Jacquie Costron brings more than 18 years of financial planning experience to her team at the Kingston Quinte Isles Region Office of Investors Group. As Regional Director, she is the local corporate face and voice for Investors Group, and is entrusted with the duty to lead a dynamic team of 51 financial consultants. Her role is to assist her team in reaching their full potential, and facilitating the highest level of training and development. |

In January 1992, Jacquie joined Investors Group in Regina and was promoted to Division Manager in 1996 where she remained until 1998 when she moved to Calgary to assume responsibility for leading a larger division. In February 2000, Jacquie accepted the appointment to Regional Director for the Kingston Quinte Isles area and relocated, with her family, to Ontario.
Jacquie’s volunteer service spans more than three decades, in which she has helped raise millions of dollars for several charities. Since her arrival in Kingston, Jacquie has continued her focus on volunteering and contributing to what makes Kingston a great place to live. She has played an active role in the Kingston community through her involvement in: United Way serving KFLA; Community Foundation for Kingston & Area; Cantabile Choirs of Kingston; Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School ~ Parents Supporting the Arts Committee; Easter Seals; City of Kingston Healthy Community Fund, and the Kingston Synchronized Swim Club.
A top priority for Jacquie has been increasing the capacity of a community to care for one another. She believes that a community must be able to respond both financially as well as through service delivery to the growing social needs we see in our community. Jacquie is excited to be part of Kingston Literacy’s Grate Groan-Up Spelling Bee. Literacy remains a fundamental issue that impacts the ability of some in our community to contribute to their fullest. Literacy is a goal that must continue to be pursued as part of our vision of having a healthy and thriving community.
